Fundraising Programs

Chattanooga

Donors for pianos can come from predictable as well as unlikely places. It's important to "get the word out" as to your piano and organ needs. A piano can evoke warm memories and stir strong emotions. Donors are likely to give pianos to honor loved ones, sponsor a special even or help provide for a quality music program. Donors can feel that they have endowed a significant legacy that will be enjoyed by generations to come.

The Steinway 88 Keys Program

Derived from the 88 keys on the piano keyboard, the 88 Keys initiative allows your donors to "purchase" one or more keys to help your reach your desired goal of a new Steinway Designed Piano. You simply take the amount of money you need to raise to purchase the piano and divide by 88 segments. This will give you the cost of each piano key. This gives your supporters a concrete way to express their appreciation of quality piano music - and their desire to cultivate it. Summitt Pianos can provide you with methods and fundraising material and help you develop a website to track your progress.

The Steinway Grand Club

A Donation Program for Churches and Schools
The Grand Club recognizes donors who generously provide funds for your piano project. This program is particularly effective when a significant number of intstruments are needed.

Within an organization, there is generally a core group who can be counted on to raise money for a specific project. An ideal way to generate enthusiasm within your fundraising committee is to involve them in interesting activities to which they could not normally have access. We can arrange a trip to New York for your fundraising committee, featuring a tour of the Steinway & Sons factory. Your fundraisers will experience first-hand how these prized intsruments are made. Armed with this information, they become great spokes-people for your campaign.

The Steinway Artist Foundation Concert

A Ticket Selling Program Utilizing Steinway Artists
Over 98% of all pianists performing today with major orchestras choose the Steinway piano exclusively. No other piano can make that claim. When you are fundraising for your new piano, a concert by a Steinway Artist can draw attention to and create enthusiasm for your campaign as well as raise the money you need through ticket sales.

For bets results the fundraising concert should take place at the venue in need of the new piano. Steinway Hall will assist in making arrangement with the Steinway artist chosen to perform through Steinway's Concert & Artist Department.

The Steinway Living Legacy Program

A Program to Help Indetify Donors
The Steinway Living Legacy Program offers a unique opportunity for alumni of your school or members of your congregation to endow a legacy that will enhance the learning or worship experience of future generations. Because Steinway-designed pianos last longer than a lifetime, donors view them as enduring gifts that will inspire all who touch them or hear them for years to come.

People often bestow pianos to honor a loved one, parent or beloved faculty member, commemorate a special event such as a wedding anniversary or graduation, or support the music program at their alma mater or house of worship.

The Steinway In-Home Concert Series

A Contribution Program Showcasing Local Talent
In this program, supporters of your organization host exclusive, invitation-only fundraising performances in their homes. The Steinway In-Home Concert Series opens up some of the finest homes in your area, showcasing the homeowners' Art Case, Heirloom or other Steinway Pianos. If a supporter is interested in hosting a concert but does not have a Steinway-Designed Piano, Summitt Piano can arrange for a piano to be placed in the home for the concert.

Steinway Kids for Keys

Fundraising Based on Studetn & Community Participation
Piano students and piano teachers in the community contribute practice hours in exchange for donations towarad the acquisition of your new Steinway, Boston, or Essex piano. Summitt Pianos can make available a Steinway Designed piano for the Practice-A-Thon. A piano in which piano students agree to practice for a pledged amount if desired. For example, for every $20 that is pledged a student will practice for 1/2 hour. The hours and donations are logged on a pledge card and at the end of the campaign the money is collected. Under this scenario, if 5 teachers each have 20 students, 100 students can participate. If each student gets 10 sponsors to pledge $20, you will have raised $20,000 toward the new Steinway-Designed Piano.
